maybe i was thirsty

Everything but the trix, I think I bought cheerio knock offs. The ones sold in bags. Cheap cheap cheap. The ex only allowed off brands and generic products. And god forbid I write the check for $5 over the amount of groceries. There was hell to pay. I never knew what was in the checking account. No idea what bills were paid or how. He would spend hours every month balancing the check book. It was painful to watch as he got madder and madder if it was off a few cents. But since I only got one check a week to use on groceries, I was not to blame. such memories.

I went to the grocery store Saturday very early in the morning. I brought my tea in a travel mug. I ended up buying a gallon of Arizona tea, three twelve packs of soda and 8 packets to make koolaid. I think I was preparing for a thirsty week.

I am almost finished with the bathroom. Just waiting on a few more things. Then I will take a video. This week I have a gent coming over to install the metal posts then hang the sail shades. That should cool the back of the house and I am going to put Betty’s wading pool up and she can soak. I am waiting on a couple blinds for the living room. Justin has decided to purchase two skinny upholstered storage boxes and place them side by side to use as a coffee table. So I need to get rid of my round oak coffee table.

Rick came over yesterday just as I got home with the groceries. He brought me 7 round stepping stones for the back yard, pretty sure they weigh 150 pounds a piece. Yet another addition to the ‘garden’.

Jen came over around one to do her laundry and go to the park to enjoy the festival. I on the other hand stayed in the house with the AC on. It started getting hot around 9am. I got a call around noon and it was Paulette. She asked me if I was doing anything and would I go to the Cherry Festival. I of course said yes.

Paulette got here and came into the house. We sat and talked. And talked then talked some more. Jen came back from the park after 30 minutes in the heat. We decided it was too hot to go to the park. But Paulette had to get some cherries. We all piled into Paulette’s car and drove around avoiding all Cherry Festival activities. Finally got to Frozen Dogs Fruit stand, used to be Frisbee’s. We could have picked them ourselves, bwah ha ha ha ha ha. We opted to purchase the ones already bagged and ready to go. We drove back to the house and just talked some more. Jen left for home. Paulette then took me to La Costas where we had dinner. Paulette had chicken chimichangas and a Pina Colada. I had a Mexican pizza with a Margarita. We both decided we had a hell of a good time and we needed to hang out more or maybe go to the movies. I had so much fun.

This morning bright and early, I baked a couple of loaves of banana bread. And been puttering around since.

I love you, sorry its been so long since I spoke to you.
